Artisan Central is the home for pre-checked trades in France. With more and more homeowners visiting the website, it is important to attract trades in the areas we are receiving enquiries for. Whilst already well known in many areas, it is now time to broaden the reach of Artisan Central to new audiences across France and with this in mind, we are thrilled to welcome Mandy Petherick to the team.
A little bit about Mandy
Mandy owns France Online, a series of business directory websites and complementary Facebook groups spanning the whole of France. France Online directories are utilised by a wide variety of English-speaking business owners as well as becoming increasingly popular with homeowners across France. Group membership numbers keep climbing. Leaving Art College, Mandy started her advertising career at Fleet Advertising in Mayfair, London and went on to become Head Designer at The Creative Works based in Wimbledon. She moved back to central London to take up the position of Design Manager at DDH Advertising & Corporate Development in Tottenham Court Road, and finally became Production Manager at Claessens International, one of the world’s leading brand design specialists based at Oxford Circus. Before moving to France, Mandy joined the Design & Production team at Entertainment Publications and was heavily involved in the print/production of Dining, Hotel and Leisure guides re-branded for major banking groups across Europe as well as many multi-national companies. She became European Production Manager with responsibility for a team of design and print professionals at their HQ in London. She moved on to the parent company, Cendant Corporation and became the European Design and Print Manager. She negotiated substantial cost savings for prestigious clients in producing printed directories, direct marketing campaigns, loyalty cards, etc. Responsible for identifying and implementing consolidation opportunities to drive efficiencies and cost savings across the European offices. She was also the European Brand Manager.
Moving to France, Mandy reverted back to her first love of graphic design and print buying, freelancing for clients across Europe for many years. Utilising her book publication skills, she became the owner, editor and publisher of Creuse News Magazine. She is now building up the France Online brand and looking forward to joining forces with Artisan Central.
